Motorcycle Repair: 2004 Sportster 1200R, evolution engine, don hi

Question
The heck with the warranty, I need more zip in my Sportster. I've looked and looked on the web and there's nothing for the newer rubber mount Evolution motor. One dealer says heads, pistons, cams etc and I'll be a rocket. Another says that
the newer Evolution engine is pretty racy now and
any performance improvements won't be that noticeable. Who's right and what would you suggest to get HP in the mid to high 90's and torque in the upper 80's range. Obviously, I'd like the power to start around
2500 rpm or a little higher if necessary.

Thanks,

Don

Answer
Hi Don.
A axtell 88 inch kit with a set of cycle shack 2" stepped duels and Red shift 645 cams with some head work by Dan baisley and a Mikuni HRS45mm card will put u in the high 90's. Also change the gear ratio by chaning to a chain drive. Johnny  602-705-7474
