BMW Repair: 1988 325i - Does not start easily whenever engine is cold., 325i bmw, valve adjustment

Question
Hi,  I own a 325i bmw 1988.  I had it in storage for a while (4 months) and now whenever I try to start it when I haven't driven it for a while, then it takes me sometimes even 5 tries until I get it to run.  Usually, once I get it started it gives me no trouble again, but then whenever I park it overnight and try to start it the next morning, or leave it without starting it for too long, then It takes several tries until it gets started.  The problem is actually becoming worst, and the battery is not too old (lesss than 5 months).  Could you please give me some feedback on what may it be and what should I do? thanks.

Answer
WOW this is becoming a problem I'm seeing alot.Actually a problem that I am dealing with at the moment.I have eliminated it doing as much by having all the basics done.Valve adjustment is important. It must be done COLD.Cleaning the throttle plates, idle control valve, and checking the Rubber hoses. The hoses need to be plyable not rock hard or mushy.
Also check the harness connection under the intake. The round one.And check to see if the terminals are clean.
The plugs ,too are important..make sure they are gapped right.
