Motorcycle Repair: Suzuki Elec System Problem, gs750 suzuki, repair manual

My 83 GS750 Suzuki has been sitting idle for a few years. After taking it out of storage and doing all the cleaning etc. I noted a problem. The low oil and sidestand lights came on while riding and I cant get them to go out. (I have oil and the side stand is up!)Not sure what to look for.

Hi Kevin.
 Any time one of those lights comes on when there is a problem, it is either the switch/sensor is bad or there is a hot short in the circuit.

 Most likely, the problem is a hot short to the affected light, but check the switches and sensors as well, just to be sure.  The repair manual will have the specs for the sensor and test proceedures for the switches.
