Motorcycle Repair: Repair front suspension on Suzuki 100 max, suzuki 100, outer tube

Question
Good day Mark,
I am trying to strip the bent front suspension on a suzuki max 100cc. Got the two shocks separate, got the spring out, the dustseal and circlip out on top and can see the inside bottom insert that turns when I turn the allen key at the bottom of the shock. Can not get this last botom allen key out, or get the inner and seal out of th outer tube. Dynamite?
Hope you can help,
Appreciate,
Regards,
dawid

Answer
Hi dawid,

What year is the Suzuki?

You should be able to remove the screw. We usually remove it first and then remove the other parts.

Pull the seal out with a seal puller tool if you have one (about $8). Otherwise, carefully pry the seal out with other tools that suit the task.

The inner tube will come out when the screw is removed. Try using air tools such as butterfly impact, or other higher rpm air tool. Air ratchets turn too slowly for this task.

Go to www.bikebandit.com and look at their OEM parts michrofiche. It may help you with the repair.

Respectfully,
Mark Shively
