Motorcycle Repair: 1976 Honda CB360T Woes, caliper piston, honda cb360t

Question
Hey there Chris,
 I bought myself this '76 Cb360T from the estate of an older gentleman, It only had 6,000 some miles on it, and I knew it needed a little work, but that was cool with me.  Little did I know that months later it would still not be functioning properly.
 The main problem that is keeping it off the streets is the hydraulic front brake.  The previous owner explained that it would lock up, and told me that I just needed to clean out the caliper and it would be fine.  So I popped out the caliper piston, cleaned it up, put it back in, bled the line, and had the same problem.  Several times I have thought I have solved the problem, only to find the bike being slowed by slowly increasing pressure on the front brakes.  Since getting the bike I have: Rebuilt the master cylinder with a rebuild kit, replaced both the hydraulic hoses, and replaced the caliper seal.  After each replacement, I would bleed the system (I tried regular bleeding and a little homeade vacuum bleeder made with a syringe and some tubing) and hope for the best, only to find that the same exact problem exists.  The wheel will spin freely, but after a few applications of the brake lever, significant friction is noticeable.  Once this happens, I will turn the bleed nipple and a little fluid comes out, and then the wheel is free again.  Please help me out with this, it is driving me absolutely insane, and I dont want to have to bring it to a shop.
thanks much,
garrett

Answer
Hi Garrett.
 When you cleaned out and rebuilt the caliper, did you make sure that all possible solid debris was cleaned out of the caliper ports to make sure that nothing was clogging them up on the backflow.

 The only reasons that I can come up with is that there is;

1) some kind of debris in the port that is blocking the backflow in the caliper or;

2) the master cylinder could need rebuilding as well.  There could be something in there that is the problem.

 There are no other reasons, that I can think of, that your brakes should be sticking like that.  You may be stuck having to completely replace the caliper and/or master cylinder with a new one, but that is a last resort.

Let me know what you find.
Good luck.
