Motorcycle Repair: Changed battery and now wont start, starter solenoid, starter motor

 I have a 1993 Suzuki dr250s I recently replaced the battery and now it will not start.  I thought is was the solenoid, so I replaced that it still nothing.  Any thoughts would be useful. The bike will start if I push it and start it in gear.  Thanks Todd

Hi Todd.
 Before you start replacing components, you should always test the system.

1)  Check the starter motor and the contacts in the starter motor.  Make sure that the contact points are clean and good.

2)  Check the wiring and connections in the starter circuit from battery to ignition switch to start button to starter solenoid to starter motor.

3)  Check the fuses and fuse connections.

Start with that and let me know what you find.
