Motorcycle Repair: FAIRINGS REPAIR (PLASTIC REPAIR), suzuki gsxr 600, 2002 suzuki gsxr 600

Question
Which product would be best to do own repair to the fairings and other plastic items on a 2002 Suzuki, GSXR 600?  I used fiberglass repair earlier, and now less than a month, the bike has taken another spill.  Initial inspection revealed the fiberglass peeled off the previous cracks.  Is there such a product for one to use for the DIY mechanic?

Answer
Hi James,

I prefer to make molds from the parts and fabricate my own fiberglass replacement body parts. Making the molds is the most time consuming. Once done, you get new parts in a jiffy. You can make extras and sell them. Good looking and durable. You'll need a gel coat spraying gun and air compressor.

Plastic welders are widely available nowadays. Perform an internet search to find them. I haven't used any plasti-welders. Read reviews on line about the various brands and features.
