Motorcycle Repair: 93 fat boy, handcontrols, harley dealer

hi mike thanks for the help but where are the wiring blocks are they hidden behind the gas tanks i dont see them any where else-maybe under the seat  thanks again very much TOM------------------------

hi i have a 93 fat boy someone put apehangers on it i would like to put stock bars back on  but the wiring goes threw the bars do you know where  you are to disconnect the wireS to go threw the bars  do you cut and splice the wires i dont  see anywhere  to unhook them at the switches or any other places to remove them  any advice  thanks a lot   TOM
Answer -
First you need to disconnect the wires from the wiring block. It takes a special tool to remove the pins from the wiring blocks. You can get one at your local harley dealer. Make sure you make a wiring diagram as you go so you know where they go back. Leave the wires connected to the switches. Once you have the wires disconnected from the block install the handlebars you are planning to use. Install the handcontrols and route the wires through the handlebars and then reconnect them to the blocks and your good to go.

SInce your bike was probably rewired when they put the hnadlebars on they moight have run them different than stock.
A quick way to check. Follow the wires to where they go. If they go behind the narcell then that is where they are located. If you follow them and they go under the gas tank then the block is under there.Generally they are located behind the narcell, the part behind the headlight.
