Motorcycle Repair: JAWA350CCtwin 2stroke, oil mixture, air filter

Hi Chris,
I would like to know why my engine will not rev under load.Timing ok. perhaps carburettor .
I cannot pull away in gear as engine dies.

Hi Rich.
 Is this a twin carb or a single carb twin?  If it is a twin carb twin, then you should check the synchronization.  Check the timing and valves as well.  Refer to the repair manual for specs and such.  If you do not have one, then get one.  They are more valuable than gold when trying to fix your bike.

 You should also check the air filter.  If it is due or overdue for replacement, then that could also affect performance.

 Is the bike running rich?  Lean?

 It's a 2-stroke, so how is the fuel/oil mixture?  Is it correct?

Start with all of that and let me know what you find.
