Motorcycle Repair: Clutch, 1983 honda nighthawk, clutch plates

Hi Mark! I have a 1983 Honda Nighthawk Shaft Driven. My clutch has no resistance. The bike jumps when put into gear, stalling the bike.  Mark What is the the problem Please help.

Hi Larry,

I suspect the clutch hydraulic system needs serviced.
Without being there to diagnose, I'm thinking the system needs adjusted (bled). Done like brake bleeding.

If this doesn't fix the surging, there may be other problems such as warped metal clutch plates.
