Motorcycle Repair: 85 Kaw. Vulcan 700, altenator, circuit components

I have a charging problem on my 85 Vulcan...The battery is new and holds a charge. It seems like it will be ok for a week or 2 then all of a sudden I have battery problems. I been hearing that this is a common problem on Vulcans...Can you shed any light on this problem?

Hi Joe,

Other than normal wear and tear, I don't know of any charging system problems with the Vulcan series.

Perform an output test of the altenator and check individual chraging system circuit components. If you need the "how-to" info, email me. I'll return the files.
