Motorcycle Repair: Honda will not start., honda 750 shadow, riding bikes

I have a 2000 Honda 750 shadow and have had no problems until this week.  It has been starting fine, but Yesterday I tried to start it and the starter motor would not even turn over.  The taillights and turn signal work, but the headlight will not.  I checked the fuses and they are OK.  I did ride through a slight shower the day before.

Hi Gerald.
 A bit of rain should not have that effect on your bike.  I have been riding bikes in all kinds of weather from sun to snow and never had this kind of problem due to the weather itself.

 Now there is the possibility that the connections in the wiring as well as the fuse connections are bad or were going bad and the water acted as a catylist for this problem.

 Go over the affected systems very thoroughly.  Make sure that all of the connections are clean and tight.  Check for any places where there could be a ground or short in the system as well as any possible bared wires.  And use a meter to check for hidden shorts in the wiring.

Start with that and let me kno what you find.
