Motorcycle Repair: Suzuki 1981 GS550T quits unexpectedly, fuse box, thegsresources

Question
I had the gas tank and carbs cleaned at a cycle shop and a tune-up. It is still operating intermittently. The bike quits unexpectedly while riding. I re-cleaned the tank myself (a hand full of 8-32 nuts shaken vigorously) and got a lot of gunk out of it. I have been over the wiring and replaced the main fuse box which was a mess and had been rewired (I bought the bike used). One cylinder is not firing - I suspect the ignition coil. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave Campfield
