Motorcycle Repair: battery cover, gonna laugh, flat washer

Oh you're gonna laugh, but I'm now single and have a 2000 1200 custom to take care of by myself.  I need a new battery, and have a service manual, got the seat off < patting myself on back > and now can't figure out where the "battery stap nut and flat washer" are as denoted in the manual, so I can get that darn battery out!  The manual does not show where these are.

the battery strap is held on by a 7/16' nut towards the back side of the battery. Use a deep socket and the socket will face upward toward the seat. once nut is removed lift strap off and then top cover off and disconnect neg cable first then pos cable and remove battery.  Johnny
