Question
My 1985 vf700c Magna after it is ridden 15 or 20 miles the hydraulic clutch will not disengage when hot. after it cools off it works fine. I have checked the master cylinder and bled the system including the bango fittings. the clutch is not slipping --d.suppes@att.net

Answer
Hi David,

I suspect the metal plates are warped and when at operating temperatures, they warp further preventing proper operation.

The plates must be measured wiuth feeler gauges on a true flat surface to verify. Also, take a measurement of each fiber plate in in 3 places around its circumference. Compare reading with specs in service manual.
