Motorcycle Repair: dead battery, regulator rectifier, check battery

Question
2001 FXST orig battery. Hadn't had it out in 2 weeks. Got on light worked but selinoid just clicked. May have screwed up. Jumped it from my car-car was running. Got bike started.

Went out for quick 50 mile ride. Came home turned bike off. Tried to restart and  got same problem. Battery had not charged. All of the electrical seemed ok-gauges and lights. Will get and install new battery from dealer tomorrow. Do I need to worry about anything else? Thanks in advance

Jack

Answer
after install new battery. Check battery with volt meter on D.C. Volts with bike off.now start your bike and check battery again and as you raise up the rpms the battery should be getting more voltage then when it was off. If not them you need to check your regulator/rectifier and stator. Johnny
