Motorcycle Repair: Rear Suspension, vulcan models, kawasaki vulcan

Dear Falcon,
I'm building a bike from scratch around an 800 cc engine. I want to this bike to have a monoshock rear suspension. Any design tips for a monoshock rear suspension ? Or do you know of any online (or otherwise) resources for design tips ?

Hi Sean.
 Start by taking a look at any number of the sport bikes out there.

 Most all of them have a monoshock rear suspension of one type or another as does one of the Kawasaki Vulcan models.  If that doesn't help you, then nothing will.
