Motorcycle Repair: 1983 SUZUKI 125 ATV, suzuki 125, timing chain

CHRIS,
      I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 1983 SUZUKI 125 ATV. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING IT IN RUNNING CONDITION. I AM UNSURE OF HOW TO SET THE TIMING CHAIN, ARE THERE ANY MARKS I SHOULD LOOK FOR? ANY HELP YOU CAN OFFER WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Hi Henry.
 There will be marks on both the cam sprocket and the crankshaft.
 Your repair manual will show precisely what those marks are for your bike and where they should be in relation to each other on reassembly.  They can be anything from matching notches on the sprockets to a painted spot on the sprockets.
