Motorcycle Repair: pistons, piston kit, honda cr125

Hello chris
i am getting a honda cr125. The person i am buying it from says the rings have gone and the piston will soon. It is a 1984 model, and on ebay they are selling a honda cr125 piston kit, but it is a 1985-6 kit.
can i use the 1985-6 kit for for my 1984 bike.

Hi James.
 For that, you should check with a dealership.

 Many times the engine specs do not change, for the largest part, between years on a bike.  Sometimes it makes a difference, so, if you do not have a repair manual that shows the ring specs for the years around your bike, then check with a dealer.
 The parts department will be able to tell you if the different year will work in your bike.
