Motorcycle Repair: Blowing fuse on cbr900rr, dual element, light bulbs

Question
I have a 99 cbr900rr(U.S. model)and I just installed after market turn signals(flush mount in front, short stalk arrows in back)I never noticed while installing these, but after all was done and was cleaning up the bike I did an overall check of what everything was looking like.Well..here's what's going on,I noticed that the tail light wasn't on(checked fuse, and was blown)replaced, and blew immediately when turned ignition to on.This fuse controls tail, horn, small light in front, and meter. This fuse has nothing to do with the turn signals, and I rechecked them to make sure they were grounded corectly, just in case.Is this something normal that happens after installing better lights,etc..?I'm sure there are probably a dozen sensors and I don't have a tester.I've checked wires and rechecked...I'm going nuts over this>HOPE YOU CAN HELP.any would be greatly appreciated.---THANX-patrick

Answer
Hi Pat,

You've described a direct short.

I'll need more information to sort the problem over the internet. Can you send me the new lighting diagram or installation instructions and describe which wires were modified to connect these new lights?

Are the new light bulbs single or dual element bulbs?
