Hi Greg,

Can you be more specific? Not sure what you're asking.

Hello Mark,
Sorry about my question. What I am asking is what can I do but the smell?
I learned and rode Honda's never smelled like exhaust I have not done anything to the exhaust system still oem put new air filter in but rest of bike is oem. I like the Suzuki but do not like smelling like a muffer. Is there anything to look for? My 750 Hondas used to get around 50 miles to a gallon (best I can remember) What do you think of the Suzuki GS 750's? Thank you for your time. Greg Lovejoy in Lexington NC

Answer
Hi Greg, and thanks for clearifying.

I've never heard or overheard of such a complaint. You've made a milestone in my career. LOL

I dislike the GS series motorcycles after having worked on them over the years. They are good looking and fast, but the charging system flaw really changes my opinion of them.

If the gas consumption has decreased, the usual cause is worn needle jets. They wear oblong shape, front to rear. Once this occurs, the jet needle doesn't meter the fuel well and permits excessive fuel to pass by the needle.

Visit the following website. It's dedicated to Suzuli GS MC's. www.thegsresources.com This is a very good resource for GS owners. A very good website.

I don't know what to say about the problem with clothing smelling like exhaust.

Please keep me advised if you figure this out. My email is: mshively1@woh.rr.com
