Motorcycle Repair: 1993 yamaha frz 600, clutch plates, couple reasons

i just bought this bike and i dont understand that every time that i put it in gear the engine wants to shut off could you help me please?

-there may be a couple reasons for this.

-Is the side stand up? There is a switch on
the side stand that kills the engine if
you put it in gear with the stand down.

-The switch could be faulty. You can
try to either jumper it or disconnect it
or just replace it.

-if the engine is trying to pull and then
stalls, your clutch may be a bit sticky
or have some warped clutch plates.
It may need to be cleaned or replaced.
