what is the exact procedure to adjust the adjustable rear suspension spring.  it was set at #3 in a series of 5.  i would like to stiffen the suspension to accomodate a second rider.

Hi Joe.
 With every bike, in the factory tool kit, there is a tool for adjusting the rear supension.  Without that tool, you cannot adjust the suspension.  If you do not have it, then go order it.  All it does is turn the adjusting ring to the correct setting.

However, a setting of 3 is a good moderate setting for having a second rider on the bike, unless you never ride without an adult passenger.
