hi,thanks in advance for any help you can give me i've an 1984 gsx550e suzuki and i have the hanes manual for it.the motor just about runs i've metered the igniter and voltage regulator through as per manual instructions and the results arnt good is there any way i can replace these parts from other bikes as i've serched the web and numerous breakers to no avail and to buy these parts new would cost a fortune,and the bike isnt worth that kind of investment. thanks again dave   reply to  dgbliss@aol.com

Hi Dave,

You can replace the parts from another same model, but you'll soon have the same problems. Suzuki GS series motorcycles are known for the design flaw of their charging systems. Visit "www.thegsresources.com" for details.
