I recently layed my sportster down on the right side, scratching up the pipes, ripping out the peg and rear brake, and knocking off the right blinker.  Now, the bike won't start.  The clutch won't work...If I have it in first and put the clutch in, I can't roll backward.  I can put it in neutral without the clutch though.  Have any idea what the problem could be?  Somebody told me it could be the starter?  Any answer would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear you laid your bike down! When you say it wont start, what does it do when you push the starter button and what your is the bike?

When I push the start button, it just makes a clicking noise.  Not like a rapid fire click, just maybe a click-click.  It's a 1984 XLX.

Answer
To get the bike started I would first check all the wiring going to the starter system and also check the battery. You might have lost battery acid when you laid the bike down. So have the battery tested. If the battery is good and the wiring good then it either the starter relay, starter solenoid or the starter itself.
You clutch problem might not be a problem. When cold, harleys are a bear to push when in gear. If you remove the spark plugs and try pushing it in gear what happens? You should be able to roll the bike easier.
