Motorcycle Repair: vt1100 shadow spirit fork adjustment, honda model, shadow spirit

I have noticed the front forks seem to "dive" more than I remember. Especially during moderate to hard braking. I have never seen any fluid or leaks. The seals appear to be fine. Can the forks be adjusted? If so how?

Hi Jeff,

Not sure which model year your VT1100 is, but most Shadows can be tuned by replacing fork oil with a heavier weight oil, and/or replacing factory fork springs with progressive spings. "Progressive Springs" is a popular brand of fork springs. Progressive springs are dual rate springs.
