Land Rover Repair: steering knuckle, land rover discovery, pitman arm

Question
ok my 96 land rover discovery se7 has a small steering problem, the steering knuckle that connects to the steering pump has been stripped.  My question is how are you to go about getting that knuckle off to replace it?

Answer
I think you are referring to what LR calls the pitman arm, which is a lever connecting the steering box to the front tie rod.

If it stripped and the threads on the box are damaged you'll need a pitman arm and a steering box.  The arm is removed with a puller.
