Motorcycle Repair: stops running, honda cb360t, right cylinder

Question
hi chris
i have a 1976 honda cb360t.this bike starts and runs perfect until it heats up.then it dies it acts like it runs out of gas but that is not the problem .could it be the condenser?both carbs have been gone thru.both coils seem good. bike seems to run stronger in right cylinder over left.thanks phil

Answer
Hi Philip.
Are the points due for routine change-out?  If so, then that could be the problem or, at least, part of it.

There could also be a problem with the coils.  If they are the original coils, then one or both could be beginning to fail.

Check the coils against the specs in the repair manual and check the condensors and make sure that they are not due for replacement.  If they are due, then replace them and see what you get.

Good luck.
