Motorcycle Repair: removing shaft drive from rear tire, yamaha virago 750, riding hi

Question
I have a 1996 yamaha virago 750.  I need to take my tires off to take them in and get new ones put on.  I removed all of the hardware attached to the rear tire and the 4 bolts holding the shaft casing together.  I removed the whole tire and the shaft came out with it.  I took the brake assembly cover off and still could not see how to remove the shaft assembly housing from the rear rim and tire.  Any help would be much appreciated.  I am really missing riding.

Answer
Hi Wyatt,

The only thing holding the wheel on is the axle and spacers. If you have that pulled it should slide off. Make sure the brakes aren't tight by moving the lever back and forth a bit. Remove axle, remove brake rod and brake assembly holding rod, and wheel should slide to right. If I remember right, there is a rubber coupler between wheel and final drive hub.
