Motorcycle Repair: stage 1 kit for sportster, screaming eagle pipes, dyna jet

I just sold my electra glide and purchased a new 2004 1200 sporster custom. (trying to recapture my youth) So far, all I can do is smile while I ride it. I would like to juice it up a little. The dealer recommends stage 1 kit and screaming eagle pipes. I want a nice rumble with out being too obnoxious. What would you recommend for increased horsepower? What do you think of the stage 1 kit? Whats pipes do you prefer?

Here is what i recommend for 1200 sportsters.

First change the air filter to a high flow air filter. Makes the bike breath better.
Change the exhaust to a better flowing system. You can get the harley system, but Cycle Shack pipes work just a well and cost less.
Last, add a Dyna-jet kit. Your bike came from the factory lean. Adding the high flow air filter and the pipes will make it run even leaner. The Dyna-jet kit will richen it back up and make it perform better with better throttle responce.
