Motorcycle Repair: Front Brake, honda cm 400, worst case scenario

Question
Falcon. I Have a 81 Honda Cm 400 .Front brake seems to siege up slowly after pressing 10 to 30 times. This  pulls the forks down and engine looses  power. The front disk becomes  very hot. If I let brake fluild out with the bleeder screw it releases. Ive replaced the whole set up  from the master cyclender , lines down. The pistons seam to move and new seals were put in. Where do I look now. The bike sat for 10 yrs and now purrs like a kitten. Where do I look now? terry

Answer
Hi Terry.
It sounds as if the problem could be only one of two things.  Either there is a blockage in the lines preventing backflow on brake release, or there is something in the master cylinder doing the same thing.

Flush the line and pull the master cylinder apart and clean it.  Worst case scenario, you will need a rebuild on the master cylinder.

Good luck.
