Answer
Bobby, DREAM 300 tank badges are for the pre-1964 CA77 Dream 305, the CB77 Super Hawk 305. In 1964 and onwards the factory badges all just had 250 or 300 under the Honda Wing logo. The 250 and 300 badges are both identical in size and shape other than the number. The "300" stood for MODEL 300, even though they displaced 305ccs

CL72 Scramblers were sold from 1962 to 1964 before the CL77 (305cc version) was brought to market. Your bike, if complete and original, should have aluminum riveted fenders, front and rear and straight exhaust pipes with little baffles stuck in the tips. Your serial numbers should read CL72-11XXXXXX on the frame and CL72E-11xxxxxx for the motor, if it is a 1964, unless you have a Type 2 version that may start out as CL72-4xxxxxx.

ALL US models were not required to have turnsignals, prior to 1968, so all US market Dreams, Scramblers and Super Hawks will not have turnsignals as standard equipment. Models delivered to almost all other countries DID have turnsignals, however. You would have to wire in all the lights, a switch and flasher unit to install signals on your machine.

If your DREAM 300 tank emblems are in very good condition, they may be worth $100 each on Ebay, etc. They were made of an acrylic resin that tended to warp, melt and fade out with exposure to gasoline, sunlight and age. There is a guy in the UK who makes reproduction Honda 250 badges that are correct for your bike.
