Motorcycle Repair: 1993 Honda CBR600F2 Emissions system, 1993 honda cbr600f2, emissions control

Question
I recently obtained a 1993 F2 from a friend who had it setting in his garage for two years.  Upon attempting to start the bike we noticed fuel coming out of the air vent of the one of the emissions control valves.  It appears that a good deal of fuel found its way into the emissions system.  Consequently the bike will not run and will only catch and start for a few seconds.  Any help as to why this would be happening would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Shawn,

The fuel in the carburetors has varnished and float needle valves are sticking.

Carbs need cleaned.

It is likely that fuel has entered the crankcase as well. Should change engine oil and filter.

Send me an email address as requested. I'll return repair information files.
