Motorcycle Repair: Suzuki Bandit wobble, suzuki bandit, bandit 600

Question
I have a '98 bandit 600 (14,000 miles) which has a steering wobble at low speed 30mph and on corners.  There is no problem at high speeds.

It has taken a couple of knocks.  I hit a major pot hole and slightly buckled the front wheel.  I replaced the wheel but still have the wobble.

Please help.

Greg

Answer
Hi Greg!

Things to inspect include: steering head bearigs and triple tree; (may be loose or out of alingment), forks; (may be bent or out of alingment), fork brace; (may be loose), new wheel; (may need balanced) Brake rotors; (may be bent).

After repairs, consider a sterring damper to limit or prevent tank slappers or steering wobbles.
