Motorcycle Repair: 71 Yamaha 125 enduro AT-1 wiring, voltage reg, yamaha 125

Hi there,  I need help bad.  I bought this 71 Yamaha enduro recently for my 14yr old son for $75, It was very clean but wasn't running.  I took it home and got it started but the wiring is a mess and I would like to get rid of all the wires except what has to be there to make it run.  So, basically I need the rundown on how the POS and NEG go from Battery to Voltage reg..coil...ect. Just the bare basics to make it run.     Any help would be most helpful!  Thanks!

 I can't tell you specifically what goes where and what color it should be for your particular bike however, a good aftermarket manual should give you the layout with color codes and that should clear up the confusion.
