Motorcycle Repair: windshield, nicholas leonetti, cushion plate

can you tell me how to change the windshield on my 1984 goldwing gl 1200 interstate---nothing in the service manual --also where is the "sub fuse  " located.

Hi Nicholas.
 As far as the "sub fuse" that you mention, I think you are talking about the main fuse.  It is normally located on one of the sides, near the location of the battery.  It will be a tiny black square with a wire running through it.

For the Windshield, you should be able to undo the screws in the front of the bike, on the coverplate that the windshield base sits under.  On the rear side there is a set of odd shaped nuts.  You should need to LOOSEN (not remove) those screws a bit, including the ones for the mirrors, and the windsheild should slip out.  There is a rubber cushion plate that is in there as well, so make sure that you get the windshield on the correct side of that when you re-install it.
