Motorcycle Repair: honda cbxf 550 4cylinder, brake calipers, chocks

How do i remove the front brake and front forks is there a seqence to follow also when installing the forks and brake back on. I would like to try to do the job safely and correctly . Hope you can guide me to understand this procedure.Thanks Falcon.This is very new to me and i look forward to your reply. Sincerly       Billy

Hi Billy.
 This is not really difficult to do.  Here it is.

1)  Place chocks under the engine to keep the front end up.  If you can raise it up a little, more for the better.

2)  Remove the front wheel.

3)  Remove the brake calipers from the forks.

4)  loosen the tightening bolts for the forks at the triple-tree, both upper and lower.

5)  Slip the forks out.  It may require a small amount of twisting to help them slip out.

That's it, really.  Like I said, it's not difficult.
