Motorcycle Repair: 97 bone stock fxstsb 80 engine-5k miles, series pipes, drag pipes

exhaust--stock carb on it, Question is, what is a good exhaust w/good note sound to use w/o messing up inside of engine down the road? I have 1 3/4" by 40" 2/2 drag pipes w/ 3/4" flat washer about 1" from tail end now{almost flat closed}--have stock h-d exhaust w/crossover hanging on the wall i can use too. I'm not looking for race, just good old h-d punkin pounden fun around the state. All around here seem to push what they are selling at the time. I guess i'm talking about a type of slip-on with or w/o baffles etc.-could cut down drag pipes if need and don't mind useing stock headers either. All this probably seems under tech for you guys-and I'll thank you now for any thoughts. Thanks,Dan

I would install a good exhaust system, the one you are now running is Bad and not in a good way!. and it is kills all your low and midrange horse power and torque, Install a White Brothers E-Series 2 into 1 exhaust system or a duel exhaust system by Cycle Shack. the 2" pipes with baffles in. There are the PHD Series pipes and get them in the taper cut.  JOHNNY  602-340-1266
