Motorcycle Repair: rear lowering kit, arlen ness, lowering kit

I want to install a 2 inch lowering kit by Arlen Ness, to the rear of my 2004 fxst standard, all I have is two stud looking bolts, The instructions say I will need a press, no problem, but where do the stud actually go? Why can't you just unscrew them from the shock? please send some visualls if possible. I would really appreciate the help..

I have used other brands of lowering kits, but never one from Arlen Ness. The ones I have used do just what you said. remove the stud from the shock and put in the new one.
The best thing for you to do is contact the company that you bought them from and see if they can help you. Or you can go to Arlen Ness web page and contact him for help.
