Motorcycle Repair: lower profile, electra glide standard, wish book

Question
I have a 2003 electra glide standard. Harley has in their wish book lower front and rear profile shocks to lower the bike. My feet are flat on the ground now. I'm wondering what this does to the stability of the bike. If it improves the stability of the bike and makes it more capable of staying upright I would be interested. The bike is a little top heavy. I would appreciate your opinion. I like to ride on occasion in some rough terrain and at times its a little hairy with this bike.

Answer
Even if you lower the bike it will still be a little top heavy and you are not going to change how it rides in rough terrain. Usually people lower bike to give it that lean look and to be able to place their feet flat ont he ground.
Good luck and happy riding
