Motorcycle Repair: Suzuki 1200 Bandit stalls out, suzuki 1200 bandit, bandit 1200

Question
I've purchased a '98 Bandit 1200 with 7000 miles and although it runs well it will stall out when stopping hard.  This occurs whether hot or cold, stopping quickly from 10 mph or 70 mph, or fuel tank full or near empty, whether the choke is on or off.  I've had it up to 105 mph and never starved out when accelerating.  After some cranking she'll start up again and run just fine.

Answer
Hi Jim,

I suspect the synchronization needs adjusted or more simply, the idle screw needs adjusted to restore proper engine idle.

If carburetors are not properly synchronized, a low idle may occur causing problems such as you described.

Send me your email addy as requested, and I'll return several information files.
