How do I remove grips on a 2002 honda shadow 750 spirit. I'm going to replace with new ones. Thanks

 Do you plan to salvage the old grips?

If not, then take an exacto knife and cut them off.  If you want to save them, then you need to get a grip, so to say, on the grips themselves and twist them loose and slide them off.  It will take some time and some work to do, but it can be done.

The biggest job is getting the glue broken loose.  Once that's done, it's just a matter of muscling them off.

When you put the new grips on, a very effective attachment method for the new grips is to spray a mix of heavy dishsoap and water onto the handlebars immediately prior to putting the new grips on.  Onse the water evaporates, the soap will glue the grips in place and they won't move.
