Motorcycle Repair: 93 cr-250 surging, air fuel mixture, cr 250

hi,
I just bought this 93 elsinore cr-250. After it warms up and I ride it, the engine surges at a high idle. I think it may have an exhaust leak around the manifold. what else should I look for?
Also I live and ride at 5500 feet and higher

Hi Scott,

You may have an air intake leak causing the surging. I would have to read the spark plugs to determine if the air-fuel mixture is adjusted optimum.
