Nissan Repair: Nissan micra engine malfunction

Hi I have a 2003 micra. While driving today the engine malfunction light went off to a steady orange and the dear was moving at snails pace. Sometimes when I let go of the accelerator it sped up. What do u reckon the problem is?

You will need to hook up a diagnostic tool called an OBD to your car to download the code. There are many codes, and once you get the code, let me know what it is, and I can tell you the next step.

Getting this code is the vehicles way to narrow down what is wrong, as it could be many things.

Most repair shops can do this for you.
