Why would i have no tail lights on my nissan mistral but my brake lights still work?

Hi Renee -

Although they use the same bulb, the tail lights are different circuits than the brake lights.

If both tail lights went out together, then I would check the fuse.
The fuse box is located below dash driver's side. They all should be labeled, follow the diagram on the fuse box cover and look for an abbreviation like "TAIL" to find the location of that particular fuse.
