Nissan Repair: Water from exhaust, blown head gasket, competent mechanic

Question
I have seen some times water drops from the exhaust pipe of  running car. Why please explain. I am from Pakistan.

Answer
Hello -

Water in the exhaust is normal as long as it does not continue once the engine is warmed up, meaning it is coming from the cooling system.

Water usually forms in the muffler or other components of the exhaust system when there is condensation, or if the vehicle has not been driven for a while. Once the engine warms up, it usually stops. If it doesn't the n it could be coming from the engine, which would indicate a blown head gasket and it should be checked by a competent mechanic.

Hope this helps -
