Nissan Repair: 1992 Nissan Pulsar Sedan, nissan pulsar, battery connections

Question
Hi, our car cut out the other day. got someone to try and jump start it with jumper leads but it wouldn't start. now when you try start the car it makes a ticking noise. would you know what may be wrong with it? =). looking forward to any opinion you may have.
thank you.

Answer
Hi Niria -

This is probably the battery. Turn on the headlights and try starting the car. If the lights are weak or shut off suddenly, check the battery connections. If all tight and clean, replace the battery.

If the lights remain strong while turning the engine, then it is probably the sterter.

Hope this helps -
