Nissan Repair: taillight removal, nissan hardbody, no screws

I recently purchased a 1997 nissan hardbody extended cab with a 4cyl..My drivers side taillight has a backup beeping noise when the truck is put in reverse. Is this aftermarket? Also,Please tell me how to remove the taillight assembly as I see no screws visible ( I HAVE to remove that beeper!)   Thank you so much.

Hi Jeff -

Yes, that back up alarm is an aftermarket install.

The lens is removed from behind. There should be about 4 10mm bolts that hold it from the back. You will probably have to go from underneath the vehicle. In fact the alarm should be connected to the reverse light wire going to the lens, so you might not have to remove the lens.
