Nissan Repair: Stalls, spark plug wire, nissan truck

Question
I have a 1985 720 2.4 Nissan truck, after driving roughly 15 mins it stalls. I will sit there and wait about 5 mins and it will start right back up. It will do this a lot more often as the temperature increases during the day.

Answer
Hi Robert -

When it is not starting, check the spark. Remove one spark plug wire, insert a screwdriver  into the boot until it wedges against the terminal inside. Hold the shaft of the screwdriver about 1/4 inch away from any metal surface of the engine. Crank the engine as if to start. There should be a spark jumping between the 2 metal surfaces. If not, then replace the ignition module located in the distributor.

Hope this helps -
