Nissan Repair: Beeping when engine is off, 2003 nissan murano, nissan murano

Have a 2003 Nissan Murano. When engine is NOT running there is a beep about every 20 seconds. Sounds like it is some where around fire wall on engine side. Have not notice it before 2 days ago. The Check Engine Light is on, but is my wife's car and not sure which came first. Help

First, have take the car and have an On Board Diagnostic (OBD) done. Any repair shop can do that, or an Autozone. When this is done, a number (code) should be displayed. Let me know what that code is (it will begin with P0---) and from there we can narrow down the problem.
